From the first e-mail I knew we had found the right photographer for our family shoot. So professional, interactive and friendly - wow if somebody put that much effort into their initial contact, what was their work going to be like?
We'd not had any professional photos of our new baby girl taken due to COVID so when the opportunity came to have some family photos, we booked Matt straight away.
The morning with our 4-month baby will be one we never forget. I am so grateful Matt discussed shooting it alongside video as well - it brought the shoot to life and we watched it with tears in our eyes. What a memory to have.
Matt captured everything we asked for - a moment in our life that was so precious and at my request very intimate (breastfeeding my baby) and I can't wait to show and talk to our little girl about the photos/video when she is older (& interested!) - all of them have something that sparks a "oh do you remember" moment for us. I didn't hesitate to book a second shoot.
Book Matt, you will not be disappointed - he listens, makes you feel so at ease not to mention his wonderful skill at taking the perfect photo.
Matt was absolutely amazing! Firstly, he was incredibly flexible during such a stressful time planning a wedding, providing different quotes for different dates and plans - he made life so easy for us. Secondly, Matt was wonderful on the day - not too intrusive, but still capturing every special moment. Matt is also such a lovely guy and is clearly so passionate about his job and making couples happy. Lastly, the photos Matt produced were perfect, we could not be happier with them. He produced some absolutely amazing photos with light and made us see our venue from a whole new perspective. Everyone who's seen our photos could not have loved them more. Matt is going to photograph our reception later this year (hopefully!) and we cannot wait for more beautiful pictures to remember our special day. Matt was probably the best thing that happened to our wedding! He spoke to us many times before the big day so he could really understand what we wanted, then he made it come to life. It was an anxious time and Covid had caused so much stress and uncertainty, but he spent a lot of time being supportive and helping us with contingencies. When he arrived on the morning, it was like seeing our friend again. He made us feel at ease and all our shots were natural and beautiful. He did everything possible to make sure we were happy and even stayed back to ensure we had the perfect shot that I had been dying for. Every single person at the wedding commented on how lovely and professional he was and his photos were so beautiful, they brought us all to tears. Its rare you can find someone who is so kind and supportive, but who is also an amazing talent. The most down to earth, talented person we have ever worked with. Thank you Matt!!
Booking Matt for our wedding photography was one of the best decisions we made when planning our wedding. Not only was he an absolute gem to work with in the lead up and afterwards, on the day he was the perfect mix of firm (so you get all the photos you ask for despite the best intentions of wayward guests) and chill so that we look relaxed and happy in all our photos. Matt took the time to talk to us and really understand what we wanted and also made a lot of good suggestions for things that we hadn't thought about. We really wanted 'documentary style' shots and absolutely achieved that for us. Perhaps most impressive was the fact that I don't remember seeing him take any of them! He was so good at just blending in so that every shot was completely natural and captured many personal moments.
We also love how creative he is with his photography and love our rainbow long exposure couple photo that is completely unique from traditional wedding images. Matt also did a fantastic job of putting the album together which meant that we barely had to do any work to it. Finally we loved 'e-Matt', it was efficient and meant that we could book things really easily and knew exactly where we were with all the documents.
If you've found Matt and he's available for your date I'd say lock him down now. If I had other events in the future there is no one else I would rather have in charge of the photography.
Matt is an insanely talented photographer and a lovely guy. We had a family shoot a few weeks ago and he made us all feel so comfortable. The thing I love most about Matts style is he captures the regular moments and makes them beautiful. My children were just able to play and do what they wanted with no direction or being forced to pose. When I look at the photos I see my family exactly how it is, the stories Matt is able to capture through his work is incredible.
Hands down the best and most amazing photographer! From start to finish, Matt was great in talking us through the process and getting ideas of what we wanted captured on our big day. Because of Covid, we only got to meet via Zoom until our wedding day, but when he arrived to start snapping away, it was like we'd known him for ages. He and his team are friendly and professional; when taking pictures you would never have known they were there, but when you did they smiled and laughed with you the whole day through.
The photos are absolutely incredible and they captured everything we wanted! They're beautiful and captivating, and show our day in the best possible way!
I would not hesitate to recommend Matt to everyone, and in fact I will: book him! You will not regret it at all!!

Almost can't put into words how amazing Matt was! He went completely above and beyond on our wedding day, and was so much more than I ever expected from a wedding photographer. Many of our guests commented on how lovely he was, and what a great job he was doing. A truly lovely man, and am so so glad we picked him to capture our special day. The pictures are more than I could've ever wanted, absolutely beautiful photos! From first contact to all the way through to the end, Matt was nothing but very friendly and welcoming, professional and very accommodating. Highly recommend and would definitely use Matt again in the future.
I’ve taken some time to write our review for the amazing Matt, mainly because every time I think of our special day and the photos Matt captured, I well up with happy tears!!
Matt is the most friendly, personable and kind person we’ve met along our wedding journey. Even from our very first virtual meeting, Matt made such an effort to get to known us as a couple and our style of photography. The communication throughout the process was quick and efficient. I came across Matt’s work on Hitched, and knew his relaxed and informal style of wedding photography was just for us! He got back to us straight away with a quote and the offer of a meeting.
Matt had never shot at our venue before, so he happily made the journey from Kent to Essex to visit a few weeks before the wedding. This meant the day flowed super smoothly, because he already knew the best places to shoot, so we could spend as much time with our nearest and dearest.
Throughout the day, Matt was friendly, approachable and mingled with our guests perfectly! So many guests complimented him on his work style and general attitude.
He suggested a wedding timeline and kept us to it, so we managed to get all the photos we wanted and not be away from our guests for too long.
Then… just 3 weeks after our amazing day, Matt sent through our wedding gallery…. WOW just WOW! We are over the moon with how he captured our day; relaxed, natural and not staged. We could not have asked for anything better, thank you so much Matt for helping us capture our special day, so we can continue to relive for many years to come.

We were incredibly lucky to have Matt be the photographer for our wedding, we loved his work and when we found out he was available to photograph our wedding we were so excited. Matt made the whole process super easy and was great at answering all of our many questions.
After three dates changes, four different venues and a fire we had become disheartened with the whole process of getting married. Matt was extremely accommodating and really helped us with all of the problems we had faced.
Our wedding day finally arrived, on the day the wedding before ours had overrun and Matt was fantastic at keeping us up to date with what was going on and how long we would have to wait.... it helped calm down a stressed out bride!
We received our gallery and sideshow of our wedding three weeks later and were blown away. We settled down to take everything in and were overwhelmed with how amazing our photos were..... the slideshow made me cry because it was so beautiful, even the music chosen worked perfectly.
We can honestly say our wedding photos are fantastic and Matt captured moments that we missed out on, so it was lovely to see them for ourselves. We have had so many compliments on our photos and Matt's work. We are so grateful to him for capturing our day so beautifully.
