Hallingbury Manor wedding photographer
Thomas and Catherine were one of the first couples to book my new engagement package back in 2018. We had the engagement shoot at Hatfield forest and it was so good to meet them finally - Thomas had bought along his memory album of all their time together and i knew instantly that this is a couple that truly value photography and more importantly having their best life moments in print.
It felt like i was really able to contribute to their book of memorable life events together and equally another opportunity on their wedding day.
The engagement shoots are such a good opportunity to get to know my clients in advance of the wedding day - it makes such a difference when we both see friendly faces, you don’t have the in-trepidation and you can immediately put people at ease as they know they already feel comfortable around you.
This is one of those weddings where everything just seemed to click into place - i covered both groom and bridal prep myself, the ceremony was stunning and humbling, the reception was hugely fun, the photos of Thomas and Catherine just blended together perfectly - it was one of those weddings where i honestly felt like a guest with no stresses through the day.
Catherine and Thomas were a big fan of my lightpainting pictures so i knew i had to pull out some stops - I came up with the black and white light tunnel picture - i hadn’t tried it before but I wanted to flood them and the picture with light, when that was combined over a small bridge to a gazebo in the centre of the lake it just all came together.
In terms of other firsts for this wedding - my first wedding selfie on the dance floor, my first experience of meeting someone called quails and the first time someone mistook me for venue staff and asked me for a round of drinks.
Thank you for booking Me to cover your day guys and I wish you all the best for the future.
